The Open Heart Project is a four-part arc about what it costs to stay open and what becomes possible when you do. Openness, recognition, disruption, self-possession. In the way love actually moves, which is rarely in sequence. It ends in something harder and more durable than union.
There is a particular quality to love when you stop managing it. When you let it be as large as it actually is. When you follow it all the way through, past the recognition, past the storm, to what it was pointing at the whole time.
Yourself.

THE SOUNDS
Each original track is paired with a reinterpretation by Lisbon-based producer Shaka Lion of the Soulection collective.
The remixes draw from the lineage of reggae sound system culture, sampling Hugh Mundell and Wayne Jarrett.
Sound system icon RoryStoneLove appears as MC, a full-circle moment: he also produced Jah9’s debut album New Name.
The project arrives three ways: through lyrics that name what you lived, dub and instrumental moods your body already knows, and a visual arc built around characters you recognise from your own life.
